Bird ringing - 24 Jan 2026

Come join Uppsala Naturskola and Birdlife Uppland when they are ringing birds. 

We begin the year by getting to know some of our most common wintering birds, close up, and see how bird ringing is done. We'll be located at Naturskolan in Hammarskog where we'll also keep a fire going for grilling sausages or other food. Guided tours will continuously be held in both Swedish and English.

If the temperature is below -10 °C or there is heavy downpour the ringing will be cancelled, but we'll still watch the birds and grill food.

• Where: At Uppsala Naturskola's bird feeding station at Hammarskog Manor.
• How to get there: Take bus number 108 to the stop ‘Hammarskog vägskäl’ 
• Registration: No registration is required. Just drop in.
• Equipment: Clothing appropriate for the weather and a torch or headlight if you want
