Fancy giving rock climbing a go? Then this is the perfect opportunity!
We’re offering an opportunity for anyone keen to try outdoor top-rope rock climbing. The venue is a short walk from Dalkarlskärret, where there are routes for both beginners and experienced climbers.
Uppsala Climbing Club will provide an instructor and equipment, whilst Uppsala Nature School will offer a light snack and coffee/hot fruit juice. Please bring extra snacks if required.
WHERE
The climbing rock near Dalkarlskärret, Hammarskog. You can take bus no. 107 from Uppsala Central Station to the Vreta västra stop, then walk from there to Dalkarlskärret. From the car park at Dalkarlskärret on the left-hand side, cross the road and walk for about 10 minutes north-west around the lake. You will see the climbing wall on your right.

LEVEL
Suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced climbers
EQUIPMENT
Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather. Long trousers to protect against mosquitoes + mosquito repellent, good shoes for outdoor activities, but you do not need special climbing shoes if you do not have them.
